THIS DARNED RABBIT!

Have you ever had a piece of art take on a life of it's own. I don't make many rabbits because I think they are sort of magical, and if I made them all the time it would spoil it for me. I started this rabbit over two weeks ago, and even though he was a lot more work than a bear, he should have been finished after a week, at the latest. I had an image of what he would look like when I started him - well, he looks nothing like it at all now - I kept making clothes for him and they just didn't work, so I'd start again. I tried to make him a girl rabbit - NOT! I tried a cute little hat - NOPE! He thought he was classier than the outfits I made and he wanted to be knighted, so "Sir" it is. Here he is at last, dressed the way he wanted to be, I guess and with a name to match, LOL!

Sir Pembleton Rabbit, is 6 inches tall, to the tips of his ears, and he is made of German Mohair that has been meticulously painted with heat-set fabric paints. He is fully disc-jointed, has amber German glass eyes, molded felt ears and is stuffed with excelsior and gently weighted with stainless steel shot. Sir Pembleton wears a blue full length coat, trimmed with red silk and tiny brass buttons His tiny shoes are made from wood and leather. All his clothes are removable. Sir Pembleton carries a leather bag (which opens) and has a bunny cane, made from apoxy sculpt. The cane has been covered with silver leaf, which was then distressed.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

He looks like he should be hiking on on some Irish Moor...looking over his green valley...surveying his land...with the wind blowing through his whiskers...wonderful character you have given him...well worth all the work you put into him. Hugs Susan
