TO AGE OR NOT TO AGE!

Lately, I have begun to age my bears a little more, to make them look a little love-worn. It means removing some of the mohair and making some holes in the paws etc. and lots of other little touches. It's extra work but it seems to make such a difference. I know that not all customers like that look, so it's a challenge to decide which look is best. Here are some pictures of my latest bear aged and not aged. I am happy that this one has found a home :o) Thanks for peeking in -I'd love to hear which one you like the best!

It's so hard to decide, Brenda! I think I like the less-aged version just a little bit better, but either way, SUCH a cute little bear!

Thanks Debora - that's two for the less aged. It may have something to do with the pale colours.

I also like the less aged one better.
I don't like bears to be made "too dirty"
I love them just a little worn, but still strong enough to get a lot more real hugging.

your bears are so cute!!

Thanks, girls! Your comments are really interesting - I would have thought it would be the other way round. I guess we learn something new every day :o)

Oh, my. My Mom accuses me of being a bit contrary, and I guess I am at that. I do believe I like the more aged of the two. It reminds me of that old Steiff we talked about a while back. Either way, the bear is awesome! Hugs, Vicki

Well there's no turning back after it's aged, lol. Looking forward to having this sweetie in my Hug :) Just adorable either way!
