FINALLY, NEW BEARS!

It's been a while, since I had any new bears for sale - I've been taking a break.  Then I managed to get some lovely antique baby clothes, while on holiday, which finally inspired me to make a few new teddies.  Both of these bears are 7 inches tall, a little larger than previous bears.  I've also been working on some new aging and stuffing techniques, which I'm pleased with.  The tummies of these two are squishier than usual which makes them really cuddly :o)

I wish I could show these to each of you, in person.  One thing I learned while browsing the lovely Teddies of Mount Holly store, is that there is nothing quite like picking up and holding a little teddy.  It's quite amazing, really.  I also learned that some of the bears that didn't draw me in on the internet, captured my heart, when I saw them "in the fur".  So, I've done my best to photograph these two bears and capture as much of their appeal as possible.  I hope you enjoy them!  Shipping for each of these bears is $15.00 for UPS to most places in North America and Small Air Package overseas.  If you have any questions about these two, please feel free to email me.

1.  MISS TILDY MAY:  Miss Tildy May is a centre seam teddy and stands just over 7 inches tall.  She is made from German Shulte Mohair, which has been dyed and overdyed, to get her lovely aged teal colour. Miss Tildy is stuffed with excelsior, granulate and steel shot, and is quite heavy.  She has German glass eyes, sparse waxed nose and distressed wool felt paw pads with tiny holes.  Her mohair has been aged tiny bald spots for a lovely vintage look, with a few thin and tiny bald spots.  Her dress is made from an antique baby dress. It was designed and sewn by me, and is removable. Please keep in mind, it is from an old dress and has a few tiny wear marks on it.  I've tried hard to keep the best parts of the lovely embroidery on the dress.  It was hard to cut it up, but I love the way Miss Tildy looks in it.

FIGGY WIGG THE CLOWN:  Figgy Wigg the Clown is a centre seam teddy and stands just over 7 inches tall.  He is made from semi-distressed German Shulte Mohair, which has been dyed and overdyed, to get his lovely aged gold/bronze colour. Figgy Wigg is stuffed with excelsior, granulate and steel shot, and is quite heavy.  He has German glass eyes, sparse waxed nose and distressed cotton paw pads..  His mohair has been aged tiny bald spots for a lovely vintage look, with a few thin and tiny bald spots.  Figgy Wigg wears a  collar and hat, made from dyed wool felt, decorated with tiny vintage bells. The hat and collar were designed and sewn by me, and are removable. They have both been aged and distressed and are removable.

LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA

We just came back from our annual spring trip to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We love it there - I could move to Lancaster in a heartbeat. There is so much to see in the arts and crafts, folk art, antiques and I could go on and on. I got a load of treasures from Adamstown, had the most wonderful food and this time we ventured a little farther to Mount Holly, New Jersey for a lovely bear show and to Atlantic City, to see the ocean and the boardwalk. I am posting a few pictures here and also a link to my photo album on my Facebook page, as there are just too many to post here.  I hope you enjoy them :o)
