I would like to thank every one who took the time to visit my show and all the customers who purchased one of my pieces.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Without you all, it would be impossible for me to continue making bears.  I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season.

I haven't posted pictures of our grandson, Corson, in quite a while,  because he is growing up and I didn't want to embarrass him.  He's been a busy fella,  finishing his first year of high school, trying to build a career in modelling and doing a bit of acting on the side.  Yesterday, he had an amazing opportunity through his agency, to film a music video with a wonderful Canadian country music band, The Washboard Union, from British Columbia.  We were so fortunate, because they were filming in a tiny town about 10 minutes from where we live.  We weren't familiar with the band, but are amazed by their wonderful harmonies and their talent and their kindness.   Corson and two other boys, had a fabulous time making the video and even though it was a very long 12 hour day in stifling heat, the crew and the band were such fun and made the boys feel very comfortable.  They had a great experience and got lots of souvenirs and can't wait for the video to be released, in about a month or so.  Corson's comment was "I loved every minute of it".    Best of all for us, we got to see him during the filming on set.  Here are a few pictures and a huge "THANK YOU" to everyone involved.

Four other pieces were awarded Exceptional Awards, so it was a wonderful experience!

I  made a small 4 inch bear and he looked like the old vintage bears, with is gold colour.  I gave him a sailor collar and had but he needed a prop.  Although I haven't made one in quite a while, I managed to carve a mini old fashioned sail boat from pine.  I really enjoyed it, even though it was only 2 1/8 inches long and 2 1/2 inches tall.  I finished it with a metal mast and a few cotton sails and the set turned out very sweet.  He will be living in Maine :)
