WATER COLOURS

 I have been enjoying a new art form since Christmas - I have been playing with watercolours and I love it!  Here are a few of my first attempts. I also tried charcoal pencils and was pleased with this kitty.   I am going to offer these originals for sale at reasonable cost, to help me invest in more supplies ☺️  If anyone is interested, just drop me an email here.

CHRISTMAS BLOG SHOW

I wasn’t sure I would be able to have a Christmas show, this year, so I am thrilled to have pulled it all together, finally.  The blog show will be Wednesday, November 22, at 4:00 pm EST to Sunday at 6:00 pm EST.  I will put a direct link here on a new blog post, Wednesday.  Here are a few previews - I hope you can stop by!

I have been playing again with my wood burner and  have made a few more ornaments and a couple that could be used as ornaments or pendants.  They are tiny - I can see these being being perfect for a small feather tree.  They are only 1 1/2” and very light. TWO NEW BEARS

 I have two new bears available for purchase.  I hope you have time to take a peek!

1.  The first is Hadley the Clown.  Hadley is 4 inches tall,  made from green and cream German mohair.  She is fully disc jointed, stuffed with excelsior and gently weighted with stainless steel shot.  Hadley has amber german glass eyes and is shaded for a vintage look.  She wears a wool felt and organize clown ruffle and a molded wool felt hat, both of which are removable. She comes with a tiny, hand made wool felt purse, decorated with two wool felt roses and decorated with bits of lace and a few pearls.  The purse is lined in silk.  Hadley and her accessories are made entirely by me and she will come with a signed hang tag.

Shipping for Hadley is $20.00 by UPS to most in most places in North America and $20.00 by Small Packet Air to some European countries, which is not traceable.  If tracking is a must, shipping will be charged accordingly.  All prices in U.S. dollars.

2.   The second bear is Elspeth and her Friend.  She is 6 1/2” tall and made from hand dyed red German Shulte mohair.  She is fully disc jointed, stuffed with excelsior and gently weighted with stainless steel shot.  Elspeth has black german glass eyes and is shaded for a vintage look. She wears a hand made dress from and antique hankie, that I have embroidered with red roses.  The dress is removable. Elspeth and her dress are made entirely by me and will come with a signed hang tag.   Elspeth comes with her friend, a little tin toy bird, that pecks when wound up.

NEW CREATIONS

I absolutely love the sentiment of Christmas - not the hype or greed or the ‘over the top’ ness of it all - just the warmth of the season.  I have made Christmas ornaments of all kinds, over the years and I have been playing with them again - finding ways of remembering family that has gone before us and things that make us happy.  These ornaments have made me re-visit things I learned long ago, and they were a joy to make.  I would love to start selling them to people who want a way to keep memories of friends, loved ones or even a cherished pet, close, during the holidays.  I am posting front and back views of each ornament.  Most of the embellishments are hand made.   I would love to know what you think and if you have an interest, just email me at:  miniatures97@gmail.com. ☺️
